Calling all young directors
Overview
Young Directors Award
Lights, camera, and action! January is International Creativity Month! To commemorate this special occasion, we are partnering with Bloom World Academy for our first-ever Young Directors Award.
Based on the theme, "My more wonderful world", the competition invites children between the ages of 5 and 14 to create a short film (2-4 minutes) that tells the story of what they, or someone they know, would do to make the world a better place, or how they are already helping to build a more positive future.
The video entry could feature the participant, a friend, a teacher, a family member or someone in their wider community who is helping make the world more wonderful by making a positive impact, big or small.
Submissions needs to be uploaded as an unpublished video on Youtube by 8 February 2023. There are two categories (Junior 5-10 year olds and Senior 11 – 14 year olds). Pick the one that fits and submit the link along with the completed online form for a chance to change your world and make it more wonderful.
An esteemed judging panel will view all entries and nominate a shortlist of finalists who will receive their very own red carpet inspired premiere with their films shown to thousands of Global Village guests at the Kids’ Theatre stage. Two young moviemakers will walk away with full school scholarships to Bloom World Academy worth over AED 1 Million.
