The pavilion serves as a tribute to these legendary residents of the Great Lakes, as well as a salute to the Nubians, whose origins trace back to what is now northern Sudan and Southern Egypt. The Maasai are renowned for their vibrant colors and grand ceremonies, and these motifs prominently adorn the pavilion's exterior. The intersecting arches symbolize the Arusha Museum, while a replica of the Africa Tower is dedicated to the unity of African nations.
